We clean Milton Keynes rentals at the end of every tenancy. The work is steady, the checklist is the same on every job, and most cleans take three to eight hours depending on property size. You'll be cleaning empty properties, on your own or paired with one other cleaner, weekdays between 9am and 5pm. We send you the address, the property size, the time and the access details in advance, and we handle the customer side.

Milton Keynes is a straightforward city to work in a van. The grid is dual carriageway with roundabouts instead of traffic lights, so a job on the far side of the city is usually minutes away rather than an hour, and most estates and grid squares have a driveway or a bay you can pull onto. That is why two cleans in a day is normal here and not optimistic.

Some of the patch is not like that, and you need to know which parts before you set off. Wolverton, New Bradwell, Stony Stratford, Bletchley and Newport Pagnell are on-street terraced and market-town stock, so parking is planned rather than assumed. Bletchley and Stony Stratford both run resident permit schemes, and we sort the access question with the customer at booking so you are not the one arguing with a warden. Central Milton Keynes is its own job again: paid parking through the day, a concierge desk to sign in at, and often a service lift to book before the kit goes up. Two things about the properties themselves. The water here is classed hard to very hard on chalk, so limescale on taps, shower screens, shower heads and kettles is a standing item rather than an occasional one, and it needs the right product and a bit of patience. And the newer estates at Whitehouse, Fairfields, Brooklands and Newton Leys are recent builds with a lot of gloss, glass and white paintwork, where the marks that lose a deposit are fingerprints, dust on trickle vents and scuffs on skirtings rather than years of grease.

Two years of UK cleaning experience, minimum. Domestic, commercial, end of tenancy. Whatever it is, you've been doing it long enough to work fast and not miss anything. Beginners are welcome to apply once they've got the hours behind them, but not before.

Two UK references. People who've paid you to clean and would happily pay you again. We call them before your first job, every time. No references, no work.

Enhanced DBS check. Cleaners work alone in empty properties. Tenants, landlords and letting agents need to know everyone we send has been vetted properly.

£1m public liability insurance. Cover for the rare day something gets knocked or marked. Standard for any professional cleaner in the UK.

Right to work in the UK. We'll need to see your documents before your first job. No exceptions.

Own car. Jobs are spread across 12 areas, from the central grid squares out to Stony Stratford, Newport Pagnell, Bletchley and Newton Leys. You'll usually do one or two cleans a day, sometimes on opposite sides of the grid, and you need room for a vacuum and a full kit.

Own professional kit. Vacuum, mop, cloths, professional-grade products. The lot. We don't supply equipment.

You don't see this list as a tenant or landlord booking a clean. But you feel it. Every job is done by someone with at least two years' UK experience, references we've actually called, an enhanced DBS check and £1m public liability cover. That's why the inventory clerk signs it off and the deposit comes back.

It's also why we turn people away every month. We'd rather under-promise and slowly grow the team than fill a calendar with cleaners we can't vouch for.
